Follow up diagnosis
I finally got a diagnosis for what happened when I was sick after Christmas. I went to see my dentist and he diagnosed a condition called Necrotizing Ulcerative Gingivitis. Basically the bacteria that are found normally in the mouth go crazy under conditions of extreme stress, poor diet and poor dental hygiene. I brush my teeth twice a day with my Sonicare toothbrush and I have been trying to lose weight, so I'm pretty sure it was mostly brought on by the stress of the holidays. Anyway, it was nice to know that I didn't pick up a really bad bacteria from somewhere and my family wasn't at risk of getting sick. It was only my body doing crazy things to itself and with a little antibiotics it will go away.

at least they figured it out! sounds like you have teeth like mine - I brush, floss, use my fluoride rinse and I still need root canals regularly, and robie does none (ok, he brushes sometimes) of those things and has fantastic teeth :)
